Fitness,health,beauty,body shapes..& my philosophy

Hello there!Today I have a different topic for you-not related to makeup!Shocker, right?!Anyways,I was thinking of writing also about non related to beauty articles..

Society seems to be pushing us too far..body self image represents a huge concern to many of us.We let media, celebrities, skinny models dictate how we should look, what we should wear, even how we should live! But these are OUR LIVES that we're talking about.Mine,yours...Why do we blindly follow all these ''instructions''?I strongly believe that EVERY SINGLE PERSON IS BEAUTIFUL in their own magical way. What would life be like if we were all the same?Well we wouldn't be humans for sure..more likely robots-with monotone boring lives.Where's the fun there?

You hear, read or you are a part of the public scrutiny whether you or somebody else is too skinny/anorexic,too fat/obese,with too small bust or too big bum, with too much/little of this or that...
These people don't have in mind the background, emotions they're causing-hurting or really anything at all about  the person they're scrutinizing.Skinnier or fuller,round,apple,flat-tomboy,pear shape, petite, muscular and toned or unfit everyone IS beautiful! You just need to learn to embrace it in a best possible way,by dressing flattering clothes for your body shape, feeling confident about yourself and flaunting with what you've got.Cause there is only ONE YOU!!!You are unique just the way you are!!!

If you really want to change something about yourself, don't do it because, and for others..DO IT FOR YOURSELF!If you think you will feel better in your own skin,be more confident, then DO IT!!!
Good health is what we all want, but it is just the matter of time when are we gonna realize how important and crucial it is..If you still haven't had that illuminating moment yet, don't worry just try not to overdo eating junk fast food, sweets and too salty food...because those can cause serous health problems, like SERIOUS!
Eat EVERYTHING you want but in MODERATION.Yeah you heard it dozen of times, but have you really sat down and thought about it?!

So if you want to change unhealthy habits it's not to late!Actually now would be a perfect moment for that!Yes,right now!Don't try to find excuses and postpone it!Don't say tomorrow!Start today...it couldn't be a better opportunity than this.So grab it while you can!Don't just sit, whine, cry and pity yourself.Be brave, find the courage, strength you never thought you had.You will feel way better, stronger, more confident and proud of yourself instantly!I promise!!!You won't see results that fast,it takes time. But be patient and keep reminding yourself of reasons you started exercising and/ eating healthier whenever you want to back down.Try writing those reasons down, and you can write your journey in a diary, keep track of what you're eating.Have a glance at your inspirational pictures...whatever it takes to keep you going.

If working out in gym scares you, bores you easily or you don't have company try working out at home, and every now and then switch up exercises so you don't get bored. Fitnessblender.com is a AMAZING site with all sorts of workout programs you can do at your cozy home.I strongly suggest visiting that site and checking out their YouTube channel as well.

Now I have been skinny all my life...I mean I am 17 so not for THAT long really...I have extremely fast metabolism, like my mum and I am grateful for that so so much! But I wasn't always so satisfied with my body.I wanted to have more curves so badly.I can eat whatever I want as much as I want without gaining any weight.
But I don't!I eat everything, but I try not to eat too much junk food and sweets.I have such a sweet tooth!I cannot function properly if I don't take at least a chocolate per week.I get all moody and grumpy if I don't.I eat it whenever I am stressed out which happens A LOT.I am currently trying to eat sweets every third day and in moderation. Before at times I could take 500 gr. of sweets in ONE day!But that is sooooo UNHEALTHY so I am trying really hard to cut those bad habits. If I don't,my actions will have some serious consequences later in my life-on my health. And I don't want my unconcernedness and lack of interest to affect my life!

There is one more thing I wanted to mention. It really affects A LOT even when you call skinny person too skinny. When somebody says to me:''Oh my god you are soo skinny. You should eat something!''-with concerned voice I really feel creeped out,NOT flattered. When you call obese person fat it's not okey but when you call skinny person, that is.Why would it be?!It hurts as much as it would hurt a fuller person for calling her/him fat!Maybe that person is trying to gain weight but just can't.Also maybe a fuller person(sorry if I don't know really how to call people with more weight,I am not trying to be rude or disrespectful in any way,but I just don't put people into categories fat,anorexic...ect. like they are just objects;I look at people differently by their personality,qualities..)anyhow..fuller people aren't that way because they want to.Maybe they have tried to lose weight and look after what they eat even better than you do,but it is just wayyy harder for them to lose weight.Genetics plays a huge role there. So don't judge a book by its cover.Instead of hating, and trying to find things you don't like about somebody, look for thing you do like.Instead of criticizing give a compliment.Instead of a punch give a hug, instead of a stone give a flower.Haha I am sounding like a hippie right now...

Hopefully you enjoyed reading article with my view on weight,beauty,health...I really hope it hasn't bored you to death considering it's quite long.Feel free to post any tips and comments with your point of view on all this.
And here is my fave butt workout video of all time.Short and sweet! Not really!Haha it is super intense so you'll be super fatigued and work-worn.Definitely check out Fitnessblender.com website for amazing workouts and check out this video!

                                                    Thanks for reading!
                                                      LOVE yourself!!!<3
                                                      Till the next post

Real Techniques brushes:pure geniousness!

Hello there!Long time no see, right?!Ha!I know,I know...I just can't get around to writing...or doing anything really!
bzzzzzz
Anyhow today I have an exciting article for you and it's about the Real Techniques brushes! You must have seen a zillion reviews and videos on YouTube but as I was so impressed with them and kept using them religiosly,I had to share my thoughts and experience.

I have the Expert face brush which is the golden handle one.It is meant for liquid foundation and powder.I find it works exceptionally with my liquid foundations(I wanted to say all,but I stopped myself because there are exceptions-like foundation that just works best when applying with hands,no brushes whatsoever because of its texture..but for all other foundations, around 90 %- it will work brilliantly!)

Now here's how it's described on their official website:
Ultra firm and broad for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation:
  • look pixel-perfect even in harsh light
  • ultra-plush, synthetic taklon bristles are hand-cut and
    100% cruelty-free
  • self-standing for easy storage
  • extended aluminum handle is light and easy to use
I just couldn't agree more with these claims. The brush is ultraaaaa soft so you'll find yourself touching your face with brush all the time, that's what I did anyways(sounds kinda creepy now that I read it...haha).This brush, like I said earlier applies liquid foundation wonderfully, glides like a dream, distributes just the right amount of product, makes anything look flawless and seamless and offers you a beautiful buildable pixel perfect coverage. But that isn't everything my lovelies! It works heavenly with cream blush and bronzer but I like using it with powder ones too,for contouring-it's perfect for getting in hollows of your cheeks,or making them if u don't have them like me!It is small, sturdy, really handy, easy to work with and A M A Z I N G quality. No fall outs whatsoever! And lets be honest-you CAN'T beat the price. :DD

they are soo photogenic :)hahaha

Now onto the Starter Set:
Eye definition goes high-definition with this essential set:
  • includes 5 full-size brushes + case:
    • base shadow brush: applies a smooth, flawless foundation of color
    • deluxe crease brush: soft, oversized design for effortless contouring
    • accent brush: designed for precision detailing, spotlighting, highlighting, and smudging
    • pixel-point eyeliner brush: tapered cut is ideal for dense or fine eyeliner application
    • brow brush: distinctive shape easily defines eyebrows
    • panoramic brush case is a 2-in-1 case + stand
  • look pixel-perfect even in harsh light
  • ultra-plush, synthetic taklon bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free
  • extended aluminum handles are light and easy to use

These have purple handles and you also get a brush case/stand which I found extremely handy since I didn't have one.Magical quality, softness and all that jazz..I didn't like the eyeliner brush because it is not firm as it's supposed to be for dipping in and precisely applying gel eyeliner and creating flicks. So you can just forget about that. You could use it for applying lipstick as a lip pencil but nothing impressive..just okey..However I adore other four brushes.Deluxe crease brush,my personal fave works for me as a crease brush, applying color all over the lid, blending colors, applying concealer on any spots, blending concealer under eyes and contouring my nose. This one is a STEAL!Real multi-tasker.Another amazing one would have to be base shadow brush-applies nicely eyeshadow all over the lid,but I found out just recently how well it works for applying color in the crease with the wider side and then by turning it,for blending everything in.Accent brush is superb for creating the v shape in outer corners of  eyes, applying and smudging shadow under bottom lashes.I use it also when I need precise, fine covering of blemishes and for applying lipstick more naturally-for achieving a more natural coverage and precision also.Brow brush is good but it is also as the eyeliner brush not sturdy enough for precise application and desired crisp brow definition. It is great for just filling in any gaps and you can always make whole appearance of the brows sleeker and neater with a bit of concealer.
Overall great deal for the money-all in one eyes starter kit, though you might reconsider buying another eyeliner brush..

Thanks so much for reading my blog
Hope to see u soon!
xoxo Maja

My favorite blush/bronzer/highlighter

So for today I have for u guys a review of my favorite powder which can be used as a bronzer, blush and highlighter.Yes three in one-so practical!
(between excuse me for not posting for some time, since I am busy at school-exams...and all that jazz..)
It is the Givenchy Le Prisme Visage Mat Soft Compact Face Powder in 85 Amber Organza.Ridiculously long name, huh?!Anyways,I have been loving and using this product religiously ever since I got it for Christmas as a gift from my parents(and I got also new phone-Samsung Galaxy S III-best gift EVER:DD)Ever since it has been staple product in my makeup collection. Here's why I swear by it! ;)

Here is how Sephora describes it:
What it is:
A compact face powder that contains a four-shade blend.

What it does:
This powder contains four shades that combine to form a unique blend that presents subtle and attractive harmonies for maximum radiance. Atomized particles create a fabulously soft and homogeneous powder that provides flawless radiance and a matte finish.

What else you need to know:
The high-tech sophisticated packaging has a "Clap & Side" magnetic opening device.
This particular shade I own can be used as all the stuff I mentioned earlier. What marvels me is the fact that u can use only one shade-for e.g. the lightest one as a highlighter, darkest mat color for a more defined contour,or you can mix two three or all the shades and get variety of different looks. That is what makes it so genius.Sure it's not the only product on the market as such, but I loveee:
some swatcheeees!yay!
  •  the pigmentation is amazing,great color payoff,opaque
  •  it's super-blendable (still avoid putting too much and looking like a clown-that ain't pretty!)
  •  the SMELL-it smells heavenly (I know,I know!some people are thrown off when they hear a beauty item has a fragrance-but this one is really divine;I am not best at describing smell so I won't even bother)
  • it has such smooth,silky,velvety-like texture to it that you are gonna want to touch it all the time-sounds creepy :P it sounded better in my head
  • the colors u get are:a light cream champagne color with some sparkles-really pretty, great as a highlighter;a light peachy brown;a medium brown, and a nude skin tone color which is pretty much seamless
  • when all the colors are mixed together u get a orange-y peach-y brown-ish color that acts like something in between a blush and a bronzer (i think u have idea of what I'm talking about, hopefully!:))
  • it feels really light on the skin
  • looks dewy on the skin-u get healthy glow:when u mix all shades
  • it has never, ever broken me out nor caused the slightest irritation and my skin is super sensitive and acne-prone;so u don't have to worry about that
  • it's longlasting-it lasted me for about 8 hours
  • the packaging is super pretty!it is such a classic like a Chanel-u just gotta have in your makeup case/bag/vanity!It has a sleek black magnetic case with big pink mirror-like logo of Givenchy and a extremely useful big mirror. And it comes with a brush also which I forgot to mention but I prefer using my regular sized blush and contour brushes over that one.But it can come handy when traveling or something like that, for sure!
swatch of all the colors mixed together!hope u can see it well :D

I give it 5/5 stars!I'm hooked on this one.I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, any age, skin color cause I promise u that u'll get a bunch of use of it.Def. check it out in your Sephora, try it on,see how u like it and leave me a comment below.
As I mentioned earlier I got mine from Sephora as a present, and as I recall it costs 46 dollars in US,though I paid tiny bit more in my country-actually I am lying!I paid-my parents for it around 55 dollars when converted. So yes,the only con of this product is the price which can be overcame, right?!

So that would be all for now!
If u have any questions I'd be more than happy to answer them ;))
Thanks for visiting!Till the next post,

xoxo Maja :D

My April Favourites

So for today,or this week(since I made myself post weekly from now on),if u wish,I have decided to post my beauty/makeup favorites from the month of April since it is over-little late on it,therefore I apologize:) but I hope you'll still enjoy reading it.Here we go...
My faves in month of April include skincare, body and makeup products.I have been in love with pastels so nail polishes I wore a lot were:KIKO in color 15 in lighter mint green mat nail varnish with sugar effect on nails(it looks as yummy as it sounds:D),ESSENCE in color 42 dress for the moment-a light creamy purple with hint of grey, and ESSIE in 13 bordeaux a burgundy dark red with blueish undertone. As far as the lipstick goes,I have liked wearing RIMMEL in 006 blush pink-a light pink with hint of purple and blue undertones. It is not my usual go to color but actually enjoyed wearing this one.It is quite wearable pink that does not wash you out nor make u look dead, scary plastic-doll like. The next lipstick I've been wearing was KIKO in color 92.It is a light peach nude color which comes out quite sheer but can be builded up for more coverage.About Avene Soapless Gel Cleanser I already wrote, but if u haven't read it-I freakin love it!!!Totally non irritating, non drying even for my super sensitive skin and it cleanses all the oil, makeup and dirt away.I used Dove soap for my hands(obviously) but not for my skin cause my skin doesn't stand any soap finding it drying, irritating and not efficient enough.I have been crazy about taking care of my feet-a new obsession of mine, and I loved the Avon Feet Up Foot Cream which hydrates and takes care of my cracked feet so well. The next thing is a russian moistrurizer I used before also.but rediscovered it.It is not the best I've tried(still in hunt for that one,if u got a suggestion please write a comment below:) )
My Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer was and is my HG(holy grail) product. It has aaamazing smell I can't get enough of-the smell of sea island cotton(description of the product-I wouldn't know how to describe it on my own:P).It sanitizes hands very well(obviously-after all that's the purpose of it,but it CAN'T be replacement for soap and water, just saying!:) ).And the packaging is so small, portable and cutee :DD
I have been switching up these two Nivea deodorants:Invisible and Double Effect one.I like the smell, but nothing too special(well I don't need this type of product to blow me away just to be affordable and nice-smelling).The face mask I got from Russia has been lovely.I really liked how my skin looks after it-just more radiant and smoother complexion.Real Techniques blending brush-my all time favorite. It applies color all over the lid,to crease, blends out, applies concealer and can be used for contouring nose and cheeks, but it needs to be blended out afterwards with a bigger brush. And I forgot to mention how stunningly soft this brush is.Does't shed.Absolute perfection! For showering I used Nivea Powerfruit Relax shower gel and Palmolive Mild and Sensitive organic shower gel.I find them both to have beautiful relaxing scents but Palmolive one is more hydrating and creamier, although they are both just lovely. The foundation I used was MUFE Liquid Lift foundation(I already wrote about how much I loveee it)-it provides medium coverage,it's long-lasting,hydrating and natural looking.Rimmel brow pencil is my must-have so it would't be strange that in month of April it wasn't exception.Deborah mascara gives you beautiful long natural looking nicely separated lashes. And last but not least important of em all,Aura lip liner which gives me natural effortless lip look-kinda my lips just better color, more noticeable color though.

That would be all for now!Hope you find this helpful, and thank you for the time you've put into reading this!Till the next post
xoxo Maja :D

DIY masks, smoothies, cleansers, moisturizers, tips and tricks for dewy, radiant SKIN

For me the way your skin looks is SUCH an important factor.I LOVEEE beautiful,flawless,fresh,radiant,glowy,model-like skin. Therefore I try out all kind of stuff, but I have a gigantic struggle with my sensitive acne-prone combo skin.I have already posted skincare products and my routine at the moment, and I will keep u updated when it changes. Here are some tips and tricks:

*Makeup is always a good way to get beautiful fresh, radiant, glowy complexion. You can achieve that using a sheer foundation(such as Makeup For Ever Face and Body foundation,Mac Face and Body foundation,or Nars Sheer Glow) that will give u a natural looking dewy, glowy coverage. If u have some problematic areas try to cover them up with a full coverage concealer rather than foundation if you want to look this way,and not cake-y.After that add some highlighter to the top of your cheekbones and/or apply sparingly sparkly lighter pink colored blush also a bit higher.

*There are a lot of skincare products on the market that will help u get this kind of skin.A good cleanser which is gentle enough but cleanses deeply the pores is going to help a lot.

*Vitamin A and niacin(B3) are well-known for their benefits:they clear up the complexion(vitamin A for treating acne).

*Eat healthy-fruit,veggies.. and from time to time treat yourself with something sweet.Avoid dairy products since many people do not tolerate it well(unless you are sure you're not in that category) and it can result in future breakouts.Cut out white bread for fewer spots.Although doctors have said diet has no bearing on acne, a recent Australian study showed that a low GI diet did help decrease spots.Put down the french fries, soda, sweets, alcohol, and fast food in general. Also avoid as much as you can salt, and greasy food.Eat oranges,watermelon,nuts,mushrooms,fish,broccoli...

*Drink plenty of water!!!Crucial for detoxifying.Extremely beneficial for skin.

*Take off your makeup before going to bed!I cannot stress out how important this is.Really-it may sound cheesy but u know it's true.So take it off before u go to sleep!!!!!

*Boost fish intake:Healthy skin is maintained by fat.
In particular, getting more of the essential omega-3 fats found in salmon and other oily fish can help to keep skin supple and ease conditions like eczema.
US dermatologist Dr Nicholas even credits omega-3s with reducing the skin inflammation that is responsible for sagging and wrinkles.
One to two portions a week will boost your intake.

*Put on sunscreen every time you go out with a SPF 20 at least

*Exfoliate once a week but not more

*Pat dry your skin with a towel,NEVER rub

*Be extra gentle with your under eye area

*Don't assume that a product labeled "natural" or "hypoallergenic" means that it won't cause irritation. You might be surprised at the products that may or may not work with your skin type.Instead test products on a small patch of skin before applying all over your face or body. Apply a small amount of the product on your arm and leave it there for a 24-hour period to determine if it has an adverse effect.

*Stress is not a desirable companion.Breath...Try out yoga or something that relaxes you.

*Be patient with your products.Acne treatments take usually 8-12 weeks to start working but it will pay off in a long run. There isn't a cure that will make your imperfections disappear over the night.Be patient and u will get rid of them once and forever.Do not be put off if your situation starts getting worse before it gets better. No matter how horrible it must look to you,it means that the treatment is working and getting all the nasty things on surface in order to get rid of them.

*Keep your hands off your face!!!

*Clean your makeup brushes and pillowcase!

*Sleep on your back

Oatmeal and onion mask:Oatmeal helps clear clogged pores, while onions are an anti-inflammatory that can help heal acne scars.Mix these two and put on your face for 20 minutes than rinse with water and apply moisturizer.

Coconut oil is amazing multitasking ingredient. It can be used as a face mask, hair mask, body butter...you name  it!Avocado, essential oils, shea butter,lemon,strawberries,honey...many natural ingredients such as fruits and veggies will make a great mask,cleanser,moisturizer...just dig a bit around the net and Youtube and you'll find plenty of useful info, tutorials, recipes for everything and anything

Essential oils are more than just the concentrated fragrant essence of botanicals. Among some of their most noteworthy benefits, the potent aromatic properties in the oils boast healing properties useful in reducing stress, boosting energy, and relieving aches and pains. The plant phytochemicals are also incredibly effective at keeping your skin's healthy glow, too.

GLOWING, SOFTER, SMOOTHER SKIN

You can use cocoa butter straight up or mixed with other ingredients to give yourself glowing soft and smoother skin. While I can’t tell you 100% that you will achieve these results, I would be very surprised if you don’t, especially if you have reasonably healthy skin. Pure cocoa butter is also used for dry skin and can be effective for excema although as always, a test patch is recommended in case you do have sensitivities to it.
I love the glow, the softening and smoothing effect that using pure cocoa butter gives my skin, as well as the powdery feel it seems to have and the slight protective barrier it gives to help lock the moisture and goodness in.

Essential Oils For Dry/Aging Skin

  1. Sandalwood
  2. Rosewood
  3. Frankincense
  4. Jasmine
  5. Lavender
  6. Rose
  7. Grapefruit
  8. Roman Chamomile

Essential Oils For Oily/Sensitive Skin

  1. Bergamot
  2. Lavender
  3. Tea Tree
  4. Myrrh
  5. Manuka
  6. Geranium
  7. Rosemary
  8. Helichrysum
  9. Blue Tansy

BANANA ALMOND FLAX SMOOTHIE

This smoothie is full of skin-loving plant-based proteins, potassium, calcium, fiber, and omega-3s. The essential fatty acids in the flaxseed oil have anti-inflammatory benefits, which is especially helpful for red, irritated, and puffy skin.
Blend …
1 tbsp flaxseed oil
2 tbsp raw almond butter
1 small banana
1/2 cup organic apple juice
1 cup ice cubes

THE CLEAR SKIN SMOOTHIE

This smoothie, uses a protein powder made from hemp seeds, which is a balanced source of skin-boosting omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The dandelion greens are great for the liver, helping to detox the body and skin; the avocado and raw cacao powder contain a powerful mix of antioxidants, which help clear the complexion and get skin glowing; and the coconut water is loaded with potassium, which helps skin cells get the water they need to stay (and look) hydrated.

Blend …
1 scoop of hemp protein
1/2 cup organic blueberries
1/2 bunch dandelion greens (no stems)
11 oz coconut water
1/4 avocado
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder

VERY BERRY DETOX SMOOTHIE

The powerful blend of antioxidants in this smoothie  helps cleanse your liver, which processes the toxins that could be contributing to your skin woes. It's a great way to sneak in some bitter-tasting greens, because the berry flavor overpowers the taste of the veggies.

Blend …
1 tbsp fish oil
1⁄4 cup frozen strawberries
1⁄4 cup frozen blueberries
1⁄4 cup frozen raspberries
1⁄4 cup frozen banana
1⁄4 cup chopped kale leaves
1 cup filtered water

COCONUT-PEAR DREAM

Hemp milk is a great alternative to dairy,as dairy products can contribute to skin irritation in some people. This easy, tasty recipe was created by Manitoba Harvest, a hemp foods company.

Blend …
1/2 cup hemp milk
1/2 cup coconut milk or coconut water
1 to 2 tbsp hemp protein powder (preferably Manitoba Harvest Organic Vanilla, for the added flavor)
1 pear, peeled and cored
Handful of spinach or kale
A splash of coconut extract (for more coconut flavor).
1 cup ice

GREEN TEA COOLER

This smoothie combines two powerful skin foods: organic yogurt and green tea. The yogurt is loaded with live active cultures that provide the gut with beneficial bacteria, which helps digestion (the better your digestive tract runs, the better your skin will look); mint and honey also help fend off "bad" bacteria, and the green tea is loaded with anti-aging antioxidants.

Blend …
1 cup Stonyfield organic fat-free key lime yogurt

1 cup prepared green tea, cooled

1/2 cup loosely packed mint, chopped

Juice and zest of 2 limes

1 tsp honey

2 cups ice cubes

EGG FACE MASK

Eggs, the symbol of spring and new beginnings, have been used by women for centuries in order to cure dry skin. They are packed with protein and lecithin, which is a natural lubricant for the skin. Adding a bit of sour cream to the mix will help slough off any dead skin cells, too.

Ingredients:
1 raw egg
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of sour cream

Directions: Mix together all the ingredients and slather over your face and neck. Let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

SESAME BODY BUTTER

If you have dry, rough skin from winter's harsh weather and you want to soften it up for arm-bearing tops, an oil-rich moisturizer is the perfect solution.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup of grated cocoa butter
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of avocado oil
1 tablespoon of grated beeswax

Directions: Put all ingredients together in a microwave safe glass container and place the container in your microwave. Gently heat the ingredients until the butter and wax are melted. Pour the mixture into a clean jar and allow it to cool overnight. Stir and slather on as needed.

CARROT BUTTERMILK MASK

For oily skin types, spring is when nature brings the rabbits' BFF and your skin's cure -- the vitamin A laden carrot.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of fresh carrot juice
2 tablespoons powdered buttermilk

Directions: Mix the juice and buttermilk until you get a smooth paste. Then, spread the mixture over your clean skin and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove by rinsing with lukewarm water and gently pat your face dry with a fluffy towel.

GARDENER'S HAND CREAM

If you've got a green thumb, you know how tough gardening can be on your hands. A rich cream is just the cure your dry rough palms, fingers and cuticles need.

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons of grated beeswax
1 tablespoon of liquid lanolin
1/2 cup of sesame oil (helps screen UV rays)
2 tablespoons of chamomile tea
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of honey
1/8 teaspoon of baking soda

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe glass container and heat slowly in the microwave until the wax and oils are melted. Do not let the mixture boil. Stir well and pour the mixture into a clean jar. Let it cool overnight and stir again in the morning. Use as needed.

1. Cucumber-Honey Toner:
Puree 1 cucumber in a blender, drain and collect the juice. Add 2 teaspoons of honey into the juice and mix. Pour the mixture into a bottle. Apply on the face and neck area with a cotton pad in the morning and at night. Air dry it and rinse clean. Store the bottle covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
2. Honey-Apple Toner:
In a blender or food processor, combine 1 peeled, cored apple with a tablespoon of honey and pulse until smooth. Apply mixture to face and allow it to stay for 15 minutes, then rinse.
3. Honey-Oats Face Scrub:
Combine 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon finely-ground almonds, 2 tablespoons dry oatmeal, and some lemon juice or yogurt to a luxurious and exfoliating facial scrub. Massage mixture gently onto face, then rinse with warm water. This blend gives a deeply emollient cleansing to the pores of your face. Almonds and oats are superb softening exfoliants.
4. Gentle Honey Cleanser:
Mix 1⁄4 cup honey, 1 tablespoon liquid soap and 1⁄2 cup glycerin (found in drug stores). Apply gently on to face using a face sponge. Rinse with warm water and pat face dry.
5. Hot Honey Bath:
Perhaps the easiest natural skin care recipe using honey -- Add 1/4 cup of honey to your hot bath water for silky and luscious skin. This is especially good for dry skin.
6. Honey Olive Hair Conditioner:
For lustrous, silky, healthy hair and scalp, simply combine 1/2 cup honey and 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup olive oil. Massage scalp with this conditioner, then put on a shower cap for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse as usual. Good for hair revitalising.

Easy Acne Baking Soda Mask
(not baking powder)
2 Tbl. Baking Soda
Spring Water Spring Water Wash face thoroughly with a mid cleanser. Mix baking soda and water together to form a paste. Apply the paste to you face and leave on about 20 minutes. Rinse face and feel the difference. Follow with toner and moisturizer. This acne recipe can be used a couple times a week
Egg White Acne Mask
2 large eggs
2 drops of lemon juice (optional) Separate the egg whites, add the 2 drops of lemon juice.
Whip the egg whites until frothy. After thoroughly cleansing your face, gently apply the whipped egg to face. Leave on until mask dries. Rinse with warm water and moisturize as normal. This treatment will tighten your skin and help clear red spots.
Naturally, if you are allergic to eggs, do not use this recipe

                                                          Chamomile facial toner

Avocado Facial Cleanser
Beat the yolk of an egg until it is light and frothy, add a half cup of milk and the mashed half of a ripe peeled avocado. A blender is handy here, but if you don't have one, beat the mixture with a fork until you have a thin cream or lotion-like consistency. Apply on squares of cotton as you would any other cleanser. You may also use this deep cleanser after ordinary soap and water, if your skin is normal. It's quite effective against pollution and grime. Therefore, it's a very pure method of keeping your complexion free of pollutants which can interfere with normal skin function.
Since the formula is perishable, we suggest making it every other day and storing it in the refrigerator between uses.
California Avocado Moisturizer
The inside of the avocado peel is actually valuable. The precious oil hidden away in the peel of the avocado is also a wonderful facial moisturizer. To be technical, the oil contains a humectant, a substance that holds moisture. Using gentle upward strokes, lightly massage your face with the inside of the peel. Let the oil residue remain on your skin for about 15 minutes. At that time you may either leave the oil on your skin and go to sleep or, if you intend to put on make-up, wash your face gently with three or four rinses of tepid water and pat dry. The oil will be invisible but it is there, ready to hold your foundation or powder in place for hours.
Aztec Mystery Eye Treatment
Nobody really knows WHY this is so effective on under-eye puffiness, but it IS. The procedure is very simple: peel an avocado, remove the pit, and slice a half into quarter-inch crescents. Lie down, secure a few slices under each eye, and rest for about 20 minutes. The result is corrective magic!
